Here we go... my studio is set for the sale...SUNDAY, MONDAY and...THURSDAY!!!!!
Lots of soft colors... and small items... while LURKING in the background of the photos id my BARGAIN BASEMENT stuff that I never want to see again...

I haven't listed a lot of this in my etsy shop basically because the quantity is overwhelming...however... that is my plan now that I am set up... Just not right to ignore the family anymore...

Starbursts

Not earth shattering but developing as an idea.
It may go no where.
Or a fun grouping/series.
Back to my fashion days... I like to create happy little vignettes.
Who knew?
You see.. I tend to develop ideas a little backwards.
I have an idea and I carve or whatever and then I feel like I've seen it before.
So I tried to figure out where these starbursts are coming from...
Don't really know but it feels vintage to me...
My Grandma Hattie's apartment...now that is an interesting discussion
all by itself... there was a metal(gold gilded of course) clock or mirror.
And crockery... like metal 60's or 70's crockery...
This is what happens to my brain at this hour.
Could be great.
Or it could be just a late night idea that in the light of day is not as fabulous...
BUT... I will try to work through it. It's a departure while not really.

My friend Kristen who is an amazing potter made these cup cakes yesterday when she was waiting for the poles to close... and I have to say... they rock!
I am so happy for our country and how historic this is and
I really hope that we can come together and make progress.
Perhaps I drank the KOOL-AID but it tastes GOOD!
I may be an idealist but this is my blog and thats how I feel!

Voting Wierdness!

STRANGEST thing....
I was voting and this lovely little old lady told me I could go into the booth...
NO ONE else voting AT THE TIME
AND WHILE I was voting... ALL LIT UP...
She OPENS the curtain to"check something" and says... "OK, thanks."
So I cast my vote and I was APPAULED!
I said something as I was leaving to the others but...
I called the BD of elections and they said they would follow up...
They sounded sincere... but EEW!
And yuck.

On a Ceramic note... lots to glaze and fire.
TICK TOCK!
