This was my table yesterday.
The Kitchen Tour Boutique went rather well...
One thing that was a bit of a problem was that the ladies on the tour were not expecting the boutique so many came in without wallets....
I know this was not an excuse because some went back out to their cars to get $$$.
I sold several pottery pieces and more jewelry...
The ladies love the trinkets...ya know???
My love is making the pottery but I have fun with the trinkets so it's all good.
PLUS...I was wearing a cuff bracelet I knitted out of sterling silver wire with fresh water pearls and it was a bit of a hit too... this is a more portable endeavor that I have planned on coming back to anyway...play with wires, beads...see where it goes...
Most importantly I can take it "on the road"...
Judi: I have a similar problem. I use my scrap clay to make beads and pendants after slab work, and they are always the first things to sell. I have said I am not going to be a jewelry maker, but I sell quite a bit of it, the ladies go right to my pendants first, so maybe I shouldn't argue! It is a lot more portable for shows that's for sure!
ReplyDeleteexactly... hmmmm
ReplyDeleteJudi~ your table looks lovely! I love how you use the clear boxes for props. It works really well with your colors! Very pretty display! : )
ReplyDeleteYour table looks beautiful -look at all of that light! When I'm setting up for shows after about the 10th trip in of inventory using my strong son and a dolly to transport the steel sculptures, I dream of selling jewelry when I see my jewelry-artist friends load in with ONLY TWO SUITCASES and are ready to go in under a half-hour!! haha!
ReplyDeletecindy... i hear ya!
ReplyDeleteI know exactly what you mean...
honestly though...jewelry sells...
