Beginning to get some quantity developed to bring to Peters Valley in September... 

Throwing, carving etc...
Big glaze experiment plans but just moving along with this currently...
because my time is going to be cut up!!!
Excited to say I will be taking Kristen Keiffer's Workshop
August 1-3rd
at Greenwich House Pottery in NYC...
so it will cut in...but hopefully in a good way...
and then the big 4-0 birthday trip...August 5th- 10th... San francisco and Carmel....Also exciting but..
.more time away not working and then
at the end of August I'm taking my boys to Girdle Tree, Md for their annual visit with my dad...
this time I will be accompanying them..
I plan to drag some handbuilding supplies with me...
you never know...

Monday, July 7th my work is going into an exhibit that is being set at the
JCC of Greater Monmouth County
100 Grant Ave., Deal Park, NJ 07723
Its a $500 and Under Exhibit
It will run until August 7th
Artists showing:
Nanci Hersh, Karen Belfer, Claire Boren, Arleen Mollow, Anthony Migliaccio, Judi Tavill, Judy Mamiye, Sandra Kund, and,Joyce Spalandorff

Opening Reception:
Thurs. July 17 / 6:30-8 pm

It is prior to the Jeff Blumenkrantz concert at 8 pm:
This award winning actor/composer acted in or composed numerous Broadway productions, including Urban Cowboy, A Class Act, How to Succeed in Business, Damn Yankees & Into the Woods.
Jeff's film & TV acting credits include Dear Diary, Anastasia, Will and Grace, Law and Order and Conviction. Jeff received a 2003 Tony nomination for songs he contributed to the score of Urban Cowboy.

The Whole Thing...well sort of...

Well... the below images are from the shelves in my studio of the work that I will take tomorrow for the
MONMOUTH FESTIVAL OF THE ARTS...
Now I must admit...there are a few changes...one in particular my TRAY...
It will not be attending...because after much ado...it cracked.
It wasn't meant to be... my spiritual explanation... I am moving on...
Stuff happens and it did.
And it did and it did...
SO....I will take some real photos of the work and move it on out tomorrow afternoon.
I sort of need a clean slate... experimentally, work-wise, etc. and I am looking forward to it...
P.s. not in love with my "SUBTLE BLING" experiments... who knows what the future holds!

I had to submit my 25 piece inventory list today... of course... I like to keep producing...
but it had to be done... some of the work is still in the glaze kiln and these pieces below I want to add a little luster too... Think subtle BLING!

Drum Roll Please!

Here is a post.
I know...
It's about time...
It's a treasury I did on etsy...
My v-day tribute...
It's updated because a couple of pieces sold...
Alot of stuff is tough now... although ....
I am well on my way through the Cooper Order
for 16 place settings..
at the bisque stage...
20 bowls,20 small plates and 6 large plates bisqued and
14 large plates left to trim...and then bisque...
but we are off to COLORADO and the snow and
a sore tushy from snow boarding
this saturday for 8 days....
I must say. I can't wait.
I need the get a way...
We all do.
We are lucky we can do it!

NEW YEARS DAY!

My sister-in-law gave a cake plate that I made to a friend who makes amazing delicious cakes and she used it on new years... That's about as functional as it gets!!!

The Last Day of the Year

Well.. as the year comes to a close... I am slowly moving forward.
I LOVE all of the comments and communication with appreciators as well as fellow potters and artists!
I hope the blog can have more interaction in the new year.
Our work is so solitary... which I do LOVE... but I also love people and community and those I have been in touch with this past year have really lifted me... so...
THANK YOU.
We will all face issues and accomplishments, sadness and happiness in the new year.
Let's keep a strong inner strength and move forward...together...
